Easy Prepping & Survival Tips
About This Site
Hopefully this blog will help people unfamiliar with prepping (preparing for disasters) realize the importance and necessity of the practice. Disasters can/do/will happen. From floods, earthquakes, storms and other acts of God to riots and wars and other acts of man. Prepping is simply the act of being and staying prepared to survive these events.
Our intentions are not to scare or cause worry or suggest that the world is ending and zombies will rule the land. The sole purpose of this site is to show the practicality of being prepared for things that can and will happen. Had there been more preppers during Katrina and Sandy, the outcome would have been a lot different. The storms would have taken the same amount of property but not the same number of lives.
Make sure you know the threats to you in your area ie: floods, earthquake, hurricane, etc and the mindset of the local population.
Make sure your supplies are up to snuff and meet the requirements for you, your family and your situation.
Learn the skills pertinent to you and your situation. Keep up on the latest in first-aid, self defense and skills that may be specific to your area, ie: swimming, fishing, hunting, desert survival, etc.
Stay one step ahead of the game by preparing for what your peers may think will never happen. Remember...the people in New Orleans didn't think their city would be be washed away. Who would?

Handguns are the most popular firearms for home defense and there are several reasons; a handgun can be concealed almost anywhere in the home ready for use, they are easy to hold and can be fired from either hand in an emergency situation and they are less likely than a […]
The Pump The ideal home defense shotgun is short barreled, 18 to 22 inches and chambered for 12 or 20 gauge. I personally recommend the pump action over the auto-loader. Pump action shotguns offer a distinct advantage over auto-loaders in that their operation tends to be mechanically superior and, even […]
